riers were forbidden to take the mail
from the postoffice, has resulted in an
unprecedented congestion of the local
rost office When the carriers com
menced their routes this morulng it
was with the prospect of carrying out

mail Is heavy enough to congest mat'
ters in two days, it lacks tho weight
of Christmas presents.

the state is to send Its commissioners
to the meeting of the good roads move
ment to be held In Aberdeen, January
20th and 21st. From 300 to BOO dele
gates are expected to he present . to

general plans for the permaenet devel
