Mrs. Arthur Katon, formerly Miss
Marie Clark and her baby daughter",
arrived this morning from Lewiston,
Idaho and will spend the holidays
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry
Clark.
Fireman Palmer has been sent to
Portland to have a dislocated shoul
der set. He injured it a few days ago
but the local X-ray machines are in
Bufliclent to locate the exact nature
of the trouble.
Rt. Rev. Charles O'Rielly, Bishop
of the Oregon Catholic Diocese, with
headquarters at Baker City, passed
through La Grande this morning on
his way home from Freewater where
on Sunday he dedicated a church.

home for the holidays with their par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Pickler.
Miss Carrie O. Millspaugh Is to be
in the' city on Wednesday , and will
speak In the Baptist church afternoon
and evening. The Afternoon service at
2:30 and for women only, and at 4
o'clock she will speak for boys -:and
girls. The evening service Is for ev
erybody, so come and enjoy a good
; missionary meeting - with a live mis
sionary speaker.
Mr .and Mrs.. J. 1.1. Berry for many
years residents of La Grande but more
recently of Portland, reached La
Grande this morning and are guests
with relatives and friends. Though
satisfied with their present location,
they are highly delighted to return to
their former home and will spend
thrco weeks visiting - before return
ing to their home In Portland.
