A fight beteen an Anglo-Saxon and
an African negro will always draw
a crowd, and California is going wild
over any kind of a fight now, con
sequently the Keteheli-Johnson fight
at Coffroth's Arena just outside San
Francisco, was one of the best attend
ed fights ever pulled off.
This fight had especiall interest as
Ketchell Is only a middleweight nml
Johnson, the burly negro, a heavy
weight. Despite the difference in their
weights, Ketchell gave the champion
the fight of his life knocking him
down In the twelfth round. The entire
fight is given, showing the nervy
white man, fighting against the odds
of weight, putting up a fight that Is
said to have been the finest exhibition
of boxing ever seen.
