a Umatilla county land fraud suit to
be brought by' (hegovernment," says
the Pendleton E. O. Douglas Belts,
one of tbe-VealtAlest residents of the
Pilot Rock section of the country Is
the man," but If he loses out in the
suit he will not be subject to a fine or
to go to Jail, but will be In danger-of
losing land valued at $10,000.'. i
The suit was filed In the Federal
court at Portland ba Saturday by XL S
District Attorney. John Court who al

acquired from the government The
suit seeks to recover the lands or their
equivalent In cash.
