morning while en' route from Fort
Russell, at Cheyenne, Wyo.i to Fort
Vancouver, WaBh. Over-175 men and
horses were Included in the special
train, held here while the animals
were fed, and the wrecx at Nolan
cleared away. A similar number of
men will be sent from Vancouver to
Fort Russell immediately, a move
which eliminates a possibility of the
transfer being a part of the policy of
the War department to mobilize Its
forces along the Pacific coast sea
ports to be In readiness to embark for
the Nicaraugan trouble zone, '
While It may be possible that the
transfer is not to be made, and the
two batteries here this morning are
to be In readlnes to go south in case
of war. such is not a plausible theory
due to the fact that the transfer or
ders were issued several months ago
before the Nicaraugan trouble arose.
