THE BUNKERS
It has been announced that the O.
R. ft Co. Is planning to refill the lo
cal coal bunkers in the near future. It
will be remembered that In the latter
part of July fire broke out in the coal
and In order to extinguish tbe deeply
laid flaines and save the coal from de
struction, practically the . entire
amount had to be hauled out. In the
bunkers where the fire occurred about
20,000 tons of coal was Btored.
When the refilling begins a large
crew of men will be put on. While the
exact grade of coal that will be
brought in has not been announced it
is certain the company will try a dif
ferent kind in order to prevent if pos
Bible a reoccurrance of the disastrous
bunker fire of last sumer. The coal In
which the fire broke out last summer
was valued at about $140,000.
