BUGLE BAND COMING.
Big Attraction In the Steward Opera
House December 7.
The Bugle Band, which is making
such a phenomlnal run over the Coast
will be In La Grande December 7. Of
this attraction, the Vancouver News
'says:, . , . , ,
Very succesful was the Bugle Band
Concert given in the opera house last
night. Not only did the execellence of
the performance delight the large aud
ience present, but much enthusiasm
was evoked. The well chosen numbers
rendered under the direction of Lieut
McManus was splendidly played, and
too much praise cannot be bestowed
upon tbe precision, admirable tact, fine
tone and skillful rendition and execu
tion of the Instruments.
"Tbe Last Post," was capitally given
while the "Naval Squad," was exceed
ingly pleaBing and the "Bayonet Ex
ercise and. Physical Drill," were
greatly enjoyed by the audience. In
tbe fife and drum section was Intro
duced the sensational drummer Neil
son which drew forth many rounds
of applause.

Of Madame Louise Brehaney, many
charming things may be said; she has
a lovely, well cultivated voice,' and
last night sang a wide variety of solos
In a delightful fashion. The range of
her voice extending over three octaves
Is phenomlnal, and her notes, more
over are clear and sweet to an un
usual degree.
