server has called the attention of its

of the alleged eye specialists who
make a house to house canvas of the
city and country and have had onr at

where unsuspecting victims have been
grafted to the extent of many dollars.
Fifty, dollars was the most exhorbitant
price reported until this week a case
was reported in the vicinity of Cove
where a lady paid $95 for a common
pair of glasses that could be purchased
In any of the several places In this
city from people who deal In optical
goods for $5.00. When you come to stop
and think about it there is nothing so
very remarkable about it. If scores
of people in this city have been grafted
all the way from $10 to $25 It would
be nothing surprising to find many
who have practically been robbed of
a much greater ram. The easy days of

One of the best possible signs of

eady. This has been a very prosperous
year for thla city and county and there
will undoubtedly be more money spent
this season for holiday goods than for
many seasons past
