Jones came down to consult an attor ney regarding the status of his case wherein he was convicted and fined 50 by the recorder of Union for sell ing near beer without a license. At torney C. P. Cochran and Sheriff Chlld ers returned with him, Sheriff Chllders to serve papers for a writ of review In review in the case. The case was supposed to have been repealed but In the mlx-up and the dizzy whirl of resignation and re election of city officials the exact standing of the case seems to have been lost sight of for the time being and a few days ago the fine bobbed up and the officials began to talk fine or Jail to Jones. The steps now being take are the result of this.
