Rapid Progress lidug 3Iade on BooMi Lane Improvement Rain is retarding progress on t'fr work of macadamizing East Adams avenue. Contractor Mars Is confined to slight excavation work along the sides of the street, fearing to "open" the center of the highway during the muddy season as the farmers have much hauling to- do and It would be disastrous to block the streets with a foot of mud.' By doing excavations along the sides and awaiting the ap proach of good weather, the work will be rushed when the times are favor able. The machinery is on the scene and rock is there too. While the street macadamizing is retarded, the county work on Booth 1n rajl,. Superin tendent Campbell has an exception ally good man In charge of the crusher In Mr. Courtney. The machine is kent humming continually and about eight teams are busy hauling rock to the lane. LOCAL PLAYHOUSES. .
