One of the first application of the
anti-peddler's ordinance wfticti re
cently went into effect, is to come to
an issue late this afternoon or tomor
row when Miller, the Union Tea and
Coffee Man will be tried on the charge
for which he w-as arraigned a week
ago. namely, peddling without a li
cense. At that time he refused to plead
one way or the other, admitting the
facts in the charge, however. Friends
of Miller, declare that he. is not a so-
called peddler, while it is annarent
that the very desirahle law that for
bids unrestricted peddling also covers
the sort of distribution of goods whifh
Mr. Miller works under. Considerable
interest centers in this casn ns it will
determine the width and scope of the
