manner, ransacking the drawers and
a pantry but took with him only the

Powder where he will- measure the
waters of Powder river. He has Just
completed a careful measurement of
the waters of the Grande Ronde and
Wallowa rivers, for government sta
tistics. He affirms that the Wallowa
and MInam rivers have the best power

turned from a professional visit in
