I., which was brought especially from Manila to Washington to play at the Inaugural ceremonies of President Taft, passed through La Grande tills morning on the second section of No. 7. There were 84 Phllipplnos in the band. Three officers have charge of the company. Major A. P. Fiske, commanding offi cer and Major S. C. Gurney and Cap tain Walter Loving, subordinate offi cers. . After the Inauguration of Presi dent Taft they have been playing at the principal summer resorts of the country. They have just finished an engagement at Denver and are on their way to Seattle, wuere mey wiii pi.v at the exposition after which they wll! fill a three days engagement In San Francisco, when they will return to Manila.
