A very satisfactory arrangement has
been made by' Chairman Will Church
of the fair advertising committee rel
ative to distribution of fair premium
lists within the city gates, for it is a
fact that everyone Is not sufficiently
interested in the details of the premi
ums to warrant his or her receiving
a copy. To accommodate every per
son Interested, the committee decided
to leave samples of the list at the
two banks, all the drug stores and at
the Commercial club. In this way
anyone can provide himself with a
copy and peruse it to his heart's con
tent. Another matter which the commit
tee wants publicity given too, is to
return the premium lists when dis
interested persons happen to gain
possession of one. Public co-onera-tion
is necessary to get the greatest
possible good out. of the limited num
ber of lists on hand, and as the de
mand, for lists have already been no
ticeably greater than in previous years
special arrangement has to be made
to accommodate all.

Many 1m. Grande people will be In
terested in the following from the
Pendleton E. O.:
A. C. Koeppen is now fathering a
plan for the presentation of a suitable
present to Herbert O. Roesch, cham
pion rifle shot of the world, and his
plan is one that will also advertise a
very important industry of this city.
It is Mr. Koeppen's plan to have the
business men of the city contribute to
a fund to pure base for Koesch the first
blanket that, will be turned out from
the new woolen mill when it gets in
operation this fall.
Like other local people, Mr. Koep
pen is proud or the great showing
made by Roesch at Camp Perry and
furthermore he believes that Roesch'o
townsmen should show proper ap
preciation of the honor won by the
midshipman and incidentally by I'en
dleton. As the woolen mill will now soon be
in operation it is held that it would
be very fitting to give Roesch the first
blanket to be turned out by the ne
looms. It is Mr. Koeppen's plan to
take but 10 cents from each man so
that as large a number as possible
will be represented in the gift.
Another Crowd Pleased.
Another delighted audience saw the
beautiful dramatic Btory "The Parish
Priest" at the Pastime theatre last
tight. The cast made Individual hits
in their respective roles, and the per
formance was far superior to any
ever given in this city for the price.

given tonight and tomorrow nlghL
