F. K. Lowry and Engineer Dutcher
are busy today straightening up legal
matters and will not leave to go over
the remainder of the proposed route
of the Heaver Creek project until
tomorrow contrary to first announce
ment. They will finish the work of
establishing campB and arrange for
the building of the tefephone line.
All arrangements will practically be
made on this trip and when they re
turn actual work of securing men
will commence and dirt will be fly
ing on the project
Floods at Pueblo.
PUEBLO. Colo.. Aug. 18. The worst
flood In recent years is threatening a
half dozen towns and causing tremen
dous property damage. Fed by heavy
rains, the Arkansas is flooded and is
rising to the danger point. The great
est damage so far is at Florence and
Howard.
It is feared there are fatalities there,
but communication Is cut off.
General Booth's Sight Falling;.
LONDON, Aug. 18. General Will
iam Booth, for years at the head of
the Salvation Army, who is threatened
with total blindness, has abandoned
his projected tour of the provinces,
and will remain In England for treat
ment. A recent operation for cata
ract was unsuccessful.
