BAKERCITY
COVE, . Aug. 9. (Special)
Strengthened by five new men, the
reorganized Baker City team yester
day came nearer defeating Cove than
at any time of the year, and when th
last canto was finished, the score
sheet Bhowed Baker one point behind
Cove, score 6 to 5. The game was
thrilling always and though Baker
City is still at the bottom, not having
won a single game yet. Manager
Muggee can claim the distinction of
having "almost" won one. However,
It kept the Covltes on their toes all
the time to keep victory at home.
