The city of Wallowa has passed an
ordinance fixing show licenses at $20
per day, and peddlers henceforth, will
be taxed $10 per day.

for thiB little city, and will require
unity of action, good business, man
agement and care. Until such a time
as city affairs are running upon a
more harmonious basis, the instal
lation of a plant of this sort seems
to the Republican a good thing to
let alone. Union Republican.
This is an off year pollitlcally there
will be few elections this fall. Oregon
will not have a state election until
