As specialists in wearing
appearil we owe .it. to our
customers to point out the
weakness and defects in the
average run of clothing eith
er custom made or ready
made. Most of it is haped
with the "hot iron," for any
garment may be doctered up
this way to sell. You prob
ably have worn coats that be
gan to loose their shape only
a few days after you have
bought them. Usually the
trouble is that you can't see
the inside of the coat the
mit?ri?.l workmanship.

An additional couple of Pullman
cars hare been secured for the spec
ial train which is to carry the Taber
nacle choir on its trip to Seattle. To
date nearly 100 applications for berths
have been turned in to the secretary.
George C. Smith, at the presiding blah-
op's office, this week.
Arrangements have been made with
the Oregon Short Line and the North
ern Pacific to make the tickets good
for 30 days to such aa do not wish to

present arrangements will leave Se

members of the choir or their friends
who accompany them on the special

viding arrangements are made with
the railroad company prior to the
special train leaving Salt Lake for the
northwest. The railroads have con
ceded this upon the payment of $23
in' addition. These two points make
the trip more popular than ever and
It Is safe to say that the secretary will
at the last have to refuse the tardy
ones who failed to get their reserva
tions during the coming next 10 days.
The 'special train will pull out of
Salt Lake Saturday, August 21, at 8
p. m., from the Oregon Short Line de

the next morning. Here a stop will
be made and the excursionists will
take in the sights prior to the sacred
concert at the Pinney theatre In the

Here two methods of procedure pre
sent themselves. The council may, af
ter the bids for construction have
been let, declare a Hen on the abut
ting property to be paid in bulk or In
Installments, or they may sell Im

paid on the installment plan.
As to Intersections.
The charter provides that the four
corner property owners on any Inter
section can be assessed for the cost
of Improving the Intersections. The
council also provides, that if the coun
cil so pleases it may from Its general
fund pay for the cost of constructing
the Intersection pavement or, too, for
a portion of the Improvement all along
the way, and assess property holders
