An automobile party yesterday
ent to the liinam river, touching
the stream six miles above the mouth.
Some excellent fishing results are
told. Mr. Peare caught a Dolly Vard-
en weighing 3 and a quarter pounds,
dressed. Those who composed the
party were Messers C. R. Hibberd,
Jack Peare. Ed Coolidge, T. J. Scrog
gin, and Walter Nledner.
There Is another story in this con
nection. The party left the auto at
the top of the mountain, leading to
the river. It is one of the steep in
clines of Oregon. Mr. Nledner is a
thorough long hike artist on level
unit, but was so thoroughly disgusted
with sliding down the precipice, that
when it came time to go home, he
all but purchased a pinto from a ran
cher who happened along, and rode
the beast to the top. Mountains are
new to him, and he thinks he never
will get acquainted with them.
