An enormous crowd loded the Wal
Iowa train to the guards this 'morn
ing when it pulled out of La Grande.
Men, women and children were stand
ing on the platform and n the aisles
In all, there were about 350 passen
gers on the train. About 80 of these

return tickets of the circus Visitors
purchased Friday or Saturday from
points on the branch and the balance
were from points taking them tro'igh
La Grande. All of this is due to th
increase In traffic and clearly demon
strates that the people are awakening
to the advantages to be had In East
ern Oregon.
