Every one likes a dog. especially if
the dog be a cute. Intelligent little
fellow. When the white faces of four
little dogs are seen on one side of a
swiftly flying horse, while they are,
scrambling to maintain their places
on Its sleek back, the large crowds
attending this circus are sure to rise
enraptured with the remarkable act.
One of the many European novel
ties with the Hagenbeck-Wallace
shows Is the Thalero dog act. Two
horses are brought Into the ring, each
bearing a medium sized dog on its
back. The ringmaster soon has the
horses galloping around the ring,
when at a given signal the dog on the
rear horse leaps from his horse to
the back of the horse ahead of him,
and as he does that, the dog on the
front horse turns a backward somer
sault from Its horse's back to the
horse from which the first dog leaped.

Another act that is most- pleasing
to dog fanciers and all others is the
work of four well-trained dogs, own
ed and taught by Madame Thalero.

ers with him, in which event they all
line up to try it over again.

shows exhibit here on July 17, it Is
certain that not an act of the show,
no matter how varied the programme
may be. will please the people any
more than this, the greatest dog act
