rived today for a visit at the home ol

Later, she will be Joined by her par
ents, and all will visit the Seattle
exposition.

Nellie who have been visiting in the
east for the past two months re
turned last night, having enjoyed
their trip, and are delighted to again
be home.
Since the city scales have been in
stalled May 14, Recorder Cox has
weighed 31 loads which do not av
erage a load per day. This will
doubtless increase as the weighing
season advances.
Mrs. Charles W. Pomeroy, who has
been visiting with Mrs. J. D. Gillilan
for the rst few weeks goes east to
night. She will stop off at Weiser.
Idaho, and attend the session of the
6rand lodge of the circle of Idaho,
to which sh is an accrdited delegate.
Harold Carpy, who for several
years has been in the employ of tha
Pacific Telephone Company has ta
ken two months vacation and left
last night to visit relatives in Wash

Texas, is here as a summer guest
with Charles Conkey. Mr. George
graduated from the Culver Military
school this spring, and will remain
here for the summer with his school

Elks Give Stag Party.
A stag party was given last night
by the Elks at their club. Refresh
ments were served and a general
good time was had. They also took
up the matter of having a float la the

Close to 150 people assembled at
the Christian church last evening and
tendered a reception to Rev. and Mrs.
Ford Ellis. The church parlors were
beautltfully. decorated, refreshments
were served, a beautiful program was
rendered and a general good time
was had. Two beautiful chairs was
presented to the bride and groom
with an appropriate little speechby
Mrs. C. S. VanDuyn and was re
sponded to by Rev. Ellis in his char
acteristic comical way. The follow
