Getting In Sliaite For xt Sunday's
Gume with The Bund. .
If one had wandered out to the
Lincoln lot last 'evening shortly af
ter 7 o'clock, a strange and peculiar
vision would have been flashed before
the eyes, for the barbers who will
comprise the team that Is to meet
the La Grande band next Sunday
afternoon, was practicing diligently.
Now some of them are has been's
and others will be, Tjut they tried just
the same and that Is half the battle.
Their lady-like '.jands, made soft from
their frequent application on whis
kers, were stung quite often, but bull
dog grit permitted them to proceed
with their practice. When It was too
dark to descern the litttle round ball,
they broke up training and went back
to polish more chins. ,
