steamship company secures a great
amount of traffic from this part of
the state and . that La Grande and
Pendleton, being the chief shipping

are very appropriate, Louis Reeves
of Baker City has suggested that the
ships be named "Fort Franc" " and
Orecallf" in honor of the two states
and the principal city of each. The
names will be forwarded to the steam
ship company by the Observer In due
time. '
