Business Mens Protective Associa
tlon, who attended the banquet last
evening at the Model restaurant was
a neatly printed card containing the

the spirit that is rapidly cementing
the business interest of this city. One
and all are beginning to rally around
the banner of united interest. and the
upbuilding , of La Grande and Union
county. ' ; ; . - ,
While the primary object of this
organization was and is to look after
the credits it has reached beyond that
and the frequent association of the
business men has torn away the false
mask of Jealousy and strife and one
and all realize the advantages and
protection assured by working in har
mony. The man who wilfully refuses
to pay his honest debts is already he
ginning to feel the effects.' of (he
workings of this association. On the
other hand the honest man has noth
ing to fear and will be protected and
given every opportunity to adjust his
payments.
