Union won the game with the
the latter winning from Union as was
announced here yesterday. - The
Bloomer team management brought
the report to La Grande Monday night
that they had vanquished the Union
team 6 to 1. It seems taht both La
Grande papers based their announce
ments on the report of the bloomer
team instead of verifying it from Un
ion, and consequently the insinuations
against the ability of the Union play
ers. The actual facts In the case ara
that Union had the team at its mercy
from the second inning on and al
lowed the maidens to score one run
for courtesy sake.

ALLODELL
Al Lodell, the former La Grande
player who is now playing with Boise,
has made a hit that last, but now a
new manager has taken hold of the
team and is anxious to play first base.
This of course has shifted Al. if the
playmanager continues on the initial
sack. The following indicates the
popularity of the former La Grande
player:
"What troubles fans is how Mar
shall is going to figure out where to
place Lodell should he decide to play
first. Joe stated when here that Lo
dell is one of the best men on the
team. That meang that the Oregonian
is to be given a berth." Boise News.
Al Lodell was taken off the Initial
sack for the second time this season
and Marshal played that position
while the Oregon sacker took to the
gardens and made a great hit with
his pegging to the infield and pulling
off double plays, some class there.
