LA GRANDE
Jacob Finger, coach of the Baker
City blgh school track team, was In the
city this morning, having come down
on No. 11, and left on no No. 7 for
Pendleton, so that he may be present
at the meet tomorrow. Mr. Finger,
who Is a graduate of Syracuse Uni
versity and was prominent In track
athletics at that Instlutlon, la pastor
of the First Methodist church In Baker
City. He prognosticates a decided
victory for Baker at the Pendleton
meet.
His team passed through on the
morning train and will meet the Baker
weight men at Pendleton,. The Baker
City people won 10 points at Corval
11s Saturday, when Bears took two
firsts In the weights.

a decision has been handed down rela

The president says he will give no
