It appears that the delegation of
50 of Chicago's most substantial busi
ness men will visit the Baker county
metropolis In the afternoou of June
11th, will not stop at La Grande. In
a letter to the Chamber of Commerce
the Chicagoans say that they are, "in
no sense a party soliciting business
nor salesmen In search of orders, but
a body or solid business and profes
sional men, who are put with the sole
purpose of getttlng acquainted with
this section, and its resources. It is
not known whether they Intend to stop
In Ia Grande or not, but owing to the
schedule on which they seem -to be
traveling, they would reach this city
about midnight, and "will . probably
make no stops between Baker and
Pendleton or Walla Walla.
