gram has been prepared for the Joint
open meeting of the Modern Wood
men and Royal Neighbors, to be held
at the M. W. A. hall on next Monday
evening. A basket supper will be one
of the features of the entertainment
and to prevent rivalry, the price of
the baskets will be limited to 50 cents.
The two lodges, expect to gain quite
a number of new members as a re
sult of the open meeting, and are
planning to give every one in atten
dance a splendid three hours of pleas
ure,' '.
DIVIDED
The grangers of the state are di
vided on the matter of state built
railroads according to C. D. Huffman
and Fred Huffman, who returned this
morning from McMinnville where the
granges convened, they having taken
their departure before the meeting
actually adjourned. .
Yesterday the matter of state norm
al schools and roads were to come up,
and consequently, they know nothing
of what transpired relative to ' these
measures, as' they left yesterday mor
ning. No action was taken on the
railroad movement due to the fact that
the delegates were far from united on
the feasibility of state built road.
