May 25th is the date mentioned as
set for the arrival of the new trains
on the O. R. & N., according to the
Tribune which publishes the follow
ing:
The two new passenger trains to be
put on the O. R. & N. between Port
land and Chicago will make their ri:st
trips May 25. The two conductors
who will be promoted to the runa be
tween Pendleton and Huntington a:-e
H. C. Grady and James Conners, who
have been in charge' of the trains on
the Wallowa brunch. These men are
arranging to remove their families to
Pendleton and according to the expec
tations of the railroad officials th-S3
trains will not be merely for the tem
porary travel induced by the SeatUe
fair, but will be permanent and will
provide the main line of the O. R. &
N. with three trains each daily.
