According to the report, conductors and brakemmen on passenger trains will be on duty 17, instead of 21 days a month, conductors being granted fl.'iO per month and braketnen $90.'0. Freight crews are to have full 10 hours between trips. Theoretically they get this now, but calls are made two hours earlier: A relief crew was put on between Red Bluff and Ashalnd for passenger service, so crews can have three con secutive days' vacation each month. These crews have been making 206 miles daily, although 107 miles is usu ally reckoned as a day's run. No ex tra pay has been allowed. Increased overtime will now be paid. Train crews asked for these conces sions In anticipation of heavy traffic during the summer. Engineers and firemen are paid mileage and have asked no concessions.
