Berry check of $8,750 to District Attorney McCourt at Portland to be transferred to Mr. Ber ry here. It will probably be several days yet before the payment reaches La Grand. Jack O'Brien, arrived home last even ing. He 1b here for keeps and his mother will come west from her St. Louis home in a short time to live in La Grande. "My baseball days are over" sadly affirmed the erstwhile manager of the La Grande club. While the in juries will eventually be remedied, it would be foolhardy to attempt moie playing. Mr. O'Brien was doing pre liminary training stunts with a few of his Hannibal squad when he stum bled while running and struck a post with his shoulder with terrlfflc force. He will remain in La Grande indefinitely. Seating capacity is five passengers with one and three with the other. Service is the best and prices right.
