ting post timber about two and one
half miles from that place a few weeks
ago and found Imbedded eight inches
in the wood a solid cast steel shot
weighing four ounces. The shot was
in perfect condition and Is evidently
from a small mountain howitzer which
was probably taken through this sec
tion during some Indian outbreak and.
