Wo never have had councils that have

the new charter requiring two meet
ing a month, and night sessions will
be fewer than In the past.
Among the ordinances passed last
evening was one prohibiting boys
under 18 years of age from frequen
ting pool rooms; another prescribing
the duties of thief of police; another
authorizing a contract to be made
with Kngineer Pickler for $1,400 to
' make permanent survey on Beaver
creek water project.
Ordinances were Introduced to pro
hibit ball playing on the streets wr.h
in the fire limits. A petition con
taining the names of over 300 names
asking that pool rooms be abolished
also base ball and theatres on Sunday.
The Petition was signed by a great
many prominent citizens and being
refered to the police and fire petition
It will be considered and reported
upon at the next meeting.
