Dan Sweeney a section hand under

was severely hurt while unloading

Dr. C. T. Bacon set the break and

where he will be placed in the rail
road hospital. He is 43 years old and
unmarried. He left on the morning
train for the metropolis.

Harry Powder, chief ranger In this

North Powder last night where he
visited with his family over Sunday,
and today started for Starkey. from
which point he will begin the repair
of the Starkey-Sumpter telephone line
at once. . The heavy snows of the
winter damaged the line to a con
siderable extent, and quite a lot of
work Is necessary to put It Into com
mission. A good many hails, cabins and tele
phone lines will be built during the
coming summer, and Mr. Parker ex
pects to have nearly 20 rangers at
work.
