"Wedding of the winds" by Hall Is
a beautiful waltz, dreamy and fascina
ting, and will be played In the con
cert to be given by the La Grande
band on April 5. As the time ap
proaches for the event, the band lends
Itself Industriously to Its task and
when the baton rapB the band to or
der for the opening overture, per
fection will be the only word to prop
erly expresa the nature of the concert
to be given at thatXlme.
MAX PLAYS A TAUT.
While "mere man" does not exercize
a very strong appeal to those who se
lect Illustration for the theatrical
pages of the Sunday papers, he is still
quite an essential to a strong, well-
balanced play. In "The House of Bon
dage" which Miss Florence Roberts
will produce at the Stewart on April
9 la a particularly prominent factor.
Miss Roberts declares that her best
work Is most possible with surround
ing talent of a high, order, and she
has demonstrated this by the selection
of Arthur Forrest, Thurlow Bergen,
Kent Bosworth and Harry Gibbs, for
roles in her new play that are of
great responsibility. ' ' ' '
EVERYTHING NEW. .
Change in program Is the keynote
of the announcement from the Pas
time Theatre today. Every vaudeville
performer will have same thing new
and the fims will be of the best. In
fact they are so new that they have
not been listed. The new films are
interesting and pretty. Constant ef
fort to pleaso the people is rapidly
winning strong favor for the Pastime.
SCENIC'S ATTRACTION.
Lovers of fun and frolic should not
miss the opportunity of Beelng the
four part play that will be given'at
the Scenic tonight and tomorrow. The
Alms have changed bringing in one
that is especially attractive and well
worth the small price charged at the
door. The two vaudeville teams seen
at the Scenic all week aro the ones
who will put on the extra play of
short duration this evening. Jt is
short, but crammed full of goo things.
