men who have been living in La

brought back from Huntington by the
sheriff tonight on the charge of ob

seems that the two worthies, who have
families, recently decided that it would
be good finance to buy all the good
from La Grande merchants that they
could get on time, and then forget to
pay. Therefore, during the latter part
of last week they vlHlted the Snndgrass
grocery, Black & Brani well's feed
store, the Golden Rule. 'PenliiKton &

bought what they could,' promising to
pay April 1. . . ..
According to the bent Inform i!lo:i i'
hand they loaded two wasrons Suuitay
nlgbt with their Ill-begotten woili'i,
their household good, etc.. and left for
parts then unknown. They were lo
cated at Huntington, and by request
of the La Grande Merchants' associa
tion, through the sheriff's office, held
there. Sheriff Chliders left for Hunt
ington this morning. In addition to
the alleged "stinging" of the mer
chants of the city, theso gentlemen
jorrowed part of a harness from (',.

return It.

closely agree that there will be no pro

Last year the fans were schooled to
fast ball, and at first may not take to
