farmers who will use water and who
would subscribe stock were they finan
cially able to do so at the present
time. The farmers, wfthjout exception,
are very much in favor of the project,
and evince much interest In the prog
ress of the work. The promoters of
the project, which term includes every
progressive man In the section to be
covered by the water, are very anxious
to see a great part of the, stock sub
scribed by the land owners, thereby
giving to the users of the water a voice
in the management of the corpora
tion, both in regard to regulating the
price and determining where ditches,
laterals, etc., are to be run.
The list tonight will represent sub
scriptions in excess of $60,000.
