It I expected that In time the ef

tribution of commodities and that lo
cal Jobbing centers will become strong

place Is. Our Jobbing Interest have
expanded considerably during the pust
two years, and with Just a little en

quite a territory.
Oh. pshaw! I-et iih go back to the
old-time way of holding city elections
' at leaet. It mny bu all right when It
tome to state nnd county elections, but
when we have had so much fun In the
past to be deprived of all this pleas
ure I certainly the limit. Not a ban

the polls, no one to take you to one
aide and help you fix your ticket. Al
together too tame!

The meeting of the Riverside Park
association Saturday afternoon was
called to order by the president, after
which the minutes of the previous
meeting were read and approved. The
object of the meting having been de
clared, an Informal discussion of ways
and means of earning money was the
order of the day. Earning money is
aptly used, for It was the strongest sen
timent of the meeting that the amo
tion ls,to be no "graft." All will be
asked to Join the association at the
rate of $1 for grown-ups and 50 cents
for children. This gives each member
a life privilege in whatever Kinu 01
park can be made with the funds ob
tained. Surely each will get that dol
lars' worth.
All functions given by the associa
tion Itself will be public aff.iirs, to
which every one Is at all times invited
and It will be the avowed object of the
itssoclation to make each one. of these
worth any price of admission charged.
When the association gives the
after Kaster d:tnco, or any dance they
may arrange for later, it will be for
the dancing people of the county. Then
music, floor and other committees will
do their work In such a way that any
who wish a good time will surely be
able to have It.
All plays, socials and entertainments
will be up. to the highest standard, und
It is the idea of the association that the
public will expect to get its money's
worth at all affairs given for the park.
The leaders were vested with power
to at once rngugn an engineer to make
plans of the river and grove, anil also
to secure an estimate) and plan for the
work to be done first.
These plans are to be submitted to
the board of directors of the associa
tion to act u turn as they m.iy sec fit.
This board consists of Will Church,
V. II. Hohnenkamp, George Stoddard,
Kd Rumble and (luy Ryrkit.
