The Baker City high school will take
a determined stand for cleaner ath
letics at the Eastern Oregon Inter-
Scholastic conference, which will be
held In La Grande tomorrow. Super
intendent Churchill, representing the
high school faculty, and George Jett
and Elmer Hall as delegates from the,
student body, will attend the meeting.
One of the first things to be asked
will be the adoption of the four-year
rule, preventing any student from rep
resenting his ' school In a . contest
Wherein he has been previously for
four years entered.
An age limit of 21 years will also
be asked, barring any student that has
passed that birthday -from represent
ing tys school In the conference games.
In order to Insure the playing of
only bona fide students the local dele
gation will ask that, no student that
enters school after the third week of
the first term be eligible In athletic
contests. Xelther will a student be
allowed to enter athletic events unless
he has attended school regularly from
the date of his entrance.
The post-graduates will also be

local delegation, and a rule will be
asked barring any coach or trainer
from participation in any contest as
an official.
Probably one of the most Import
ant things to come up before the con
ference will be the selection of the
board of arbitration before which all
protests of allege ineligibility or re
