C. E. Porter, district superintend
ent' of the Vaclflc States Telephone
Co., was a passenger on the morning
train en route to Baker City, his
home. He had been attending a meet
ing of the District Superintendent's

A young Man named Wade came
down from Meacham on the morning
train to have his leg dresses,' the
wound being caused by the discharge
of a 22 rifle In the hands of a friend.

at the Observer today and desired an
expression of thanks published in ap
preciation of the many acts of kind
ness of their neighbors, after their
home was destroyed by fire a few

from Hot Lake, where she has been
on account of her health for the past
