A Moscow, Idaho, sheriff passed
through La Grande last evening with
a prisoner, en route to Boise, where a
hanging bee will soon take place. In
a fit of jealousy the prisoner had shot
his sweetheart and then attempted
suicide unavallingly.

day for Portland, from where they
proceed to Nevada. Mr. Sebbelov will

do well to arrange to keep these peo
ple the entire season. . They can not
only sing and dance, but they have the
ability to act their parts. They. will
have a new sketch for tomorrow eve
