Muny Attend Christ-Mat.
A good congregation auended the
Christ-MaFs at St. Peter's- yesterday
morning. The sacred edifice was very
prettily decorated with red fir, Oregon
grape and some holly, while designs in
white and red relieved the monotony
of the evergreen. The musical portion
of the service was admirably rendered
by the choir, which had been practic
ing long and faithfully. The sermon
was on "The Witness of God In His
Son," the text being taken from Heb.
1:1-2. The offerings, as has ben the
custom for some years past, were given
to the Aged and Infirm Clergy, fund.
Altogether the service proved an In
spiring one and those attending car
ried away with them a true Christmas
blessing, which made the day for them
what It ought to be; namely, a Holy
day.
MORMONS WIN CAME.
Illsh School Juniors Lack Accuracy
and Ix!t Fa.st Game
By superior passing from a stand
point of accuracy, and by far better
goal throwing, the M. I. A. basketball
team Thursday night defeated the
champions of the high school, the
Juniors. The game was fast, snappy
and classy, but void of rourh playins:.
The spectators (rot their money's
worth all the time, notwithstanding
that the score was ?2 to 12 In favor
of the Mormons. The Mormon team
