day calling on old friends and ac
quaintances, says The Dalles Chroni
cle. Mr. Lage says that things are
booming down In his portion of the
apple country, and when asked what
price he would consider for his land
he said, "You might as well offer me
$50 per acre as my land is not for sale
at any price."
