able ring.
Efforts were made by A. S. Pearson
yesterday afternoon to secure the
bloodhounds from the Walla Walla
penitentiary to trace ihe thieves, bit
nothing has been done toward this end.
The footprints of the two men who
did the damage could be plainly seen
this morning. Offioera have been no
tified In all of the surrounding towns
and it is expected that some clue to
the identity of the men will be dtscoV'
ered and the latter captured within
the next few dayj.
