With six Inches of snow covering the
practice field, the city football team
s nothing daunted and the proscribed
drill will commence tomorrow arter
noon at the football grounds at 1:80.
The initial practice was held Thursday
night and seldom has a better aggre
gation appeared for a club team on
the first night. As yet there Is no
certainty about a greater portion of
the places, as there are fortunately
several men trying for line position?.
The back field Is better than Jiad beon
hoped for, but the necessary subst.-
tutes have yet to be whipped Intc
shape.
Running down under punts, perfec
tion of the forward pass, and careful
mastery of the few straight old-fash-
oned football will constitute the drill
for tomorrow afternoon.
The Christmas game Is being freeiy
discussed here already. Pendleton t?
training Its team consistently , these

good shape for grueling contest on
the local grounds next Christmas, and
at Pendleton on New Tears.
