The price of butter fat that exists
this month In La Grande, had never
been equalled since creameries and
dairying has been an industry here.
The remarkably high quotation of 34
cents per pound, guaranteed for the
month. Is a decidedly high price. This
Is what the Mlue Mountain creamery
Is doing for the month of December.
It has guaranteed this price to Its pa
trans, and it is to be hoped the profit
able sum will be an incentive for ex
pansion of the dairy business In the
Grande Ronde valley. The local
creamery is short of butter fat, and
has shot Its prices to this high pinnacle
