six fires in this city during the past

late this evening the authorities ar
rested W, H. Lamb,, a man about 40 i
years of age, on the charge of being; an
accomplice of young Anthony's incen
diary work.
Suspicion has pointed to Lamb for
several days, but officers watted to
make his arrest until they had more
evidence In their possession.
Lamb is considered a man of weak
intellect. He has a wife and family
who are 111. and the scene that con
fronted the officers when' the warrant
was served was pathetic. Lamb Is re
membered here as having at one time
been before the public In furnishing
testimony that convicted a man by the
name of Crump of a crime against his
own child. This was abouttwo years I
ago, and Crump received a 16 years'
sentence for the crime. Later Lamb
married the girl In Question.
His connection 'with the Incendiary
grows out of the confession made by
young Anthony, .
