Walla Walla, Nov. it. Craxed by
despondency apparently by his condi
tion of loneliness In the world! Robert
Vance, aged 28 years, an employe of
mmvek' fruit drm, , tfcrsa -ituui-t
west of the city, slashed his throat on
both sides with a razor about o'clock
last night, In an endeavor to take his
own life. When found by one of his
fellow workmen In his room at the
McKlnney home, a short dlxtance from
the. Blalock farm, a few minutes after
the deed was committed, the unfor
tunate.man was sweltering In a pool of
Ms Own blood, which was supplied by
the large outside jugular, vein that
was completed severed. It Is likely
the condition- of the wounded man
would not have been discovered for
several hours had It not been for the
absence of any light In his room, which
his companions had noted was there
for some time before he retired, each
