COVE NEWS. N
t
Cove, Nov. 11. Surveyors have been
at .work during the past week, plat
ting the upper portion of the old Mc
Daniel place it) Cove. :
J. P. Wllber of Union, purchased
this property some-time ago, and Is
removing the orchard trees from the
lower land, surrounding and lying be
low the home. It Is reported that thi.s
ground is to be devoted to the rais
ing o( strawberries, while that lying
just east will be cleared of old build
ings, etc., and be cut Into town lots.
About 15 acres wtll thus be disposed
of, and should make a valuable and
sightly addition to the town of Cove.
Tuesday a team belonging to Mr.
Rankin Severs became frightened near
the depot and ran through town,
crashing Into Carl GasBOtt's buggy and
team, which were tied to a rack near
the State bank. Severs' team '"was
hitched to a heavy wagon In which he
had been hauling apples, and there
was a lively' mlxup when the crash
came. The buggy was upset but only
slightly damaged, and the wagon was
well shaken up. Fortunately no one
was in either vehicle, and the horses
though turned together like boys in
a football scrimmage, escaped unhurt.
Now Listen. .
Your attention la directed to an ar
ticle printed on page 4, headed, "More
About the '600 Club," which will be
to your interest to read. If you are
thinking of placing a piano In your
home now, or any time during the next
three or four ye"ars. ' The Davis Mu
sic company are local agents for the
Ellers' line of Instruments, and are
well supplied with the booklets and
also the pianos, a full car having ar
rived a few days ago. Surely, an op
portunity of this character will not be
open but a short time, judging from
the Inquiries received and the num
ber jf people who visit the store, dally.
Inspecting these planoa with a view to
purchasing In the very near future.
